Unusual things also deserve unusual interpretation with a great deal of imagination. If the fantasy creates a myth, which is further spread, it also deservers a specific place to build a memorial for permanent memory. This happened in Františkovy Lázně, the year of the Lord of 1906.

SALT KING

 In the deep underground, where water flows under great pressure, the powerful king with his courtiers have a seat in splendid caves decorated with colourful crystals. Their destiny is to look after the clean water and to enrich it with various salts and minerals. The generous salt king does that for ages, even below Františkovy Lázně. During the years of his reign, the groundwater carries out entire hills of salt on the surface. Not only the hills, but whole mountains of salt have been already brought to the surface of the Earth. People, who inhabit this landscape since we can remember, see the wealth, which the local nature offers to them. Initially timid exploitation of mineral springs led to the establishment of the beneficial to health spa. The questions of course arise, where such wealth came from, whether the salt king will be still generous to other people, whether perhaps the wealth of mineral waters gushing from the earth, will not stop. Since the ancient times it has been said that the time would come when the salt king would come on the Earth among human beings and will see, how they look after his gifts. Therefore the residents of Františkovy Lázně built medical spring castle on the hill above the town with an observation tower and an airy chamber. It is expected that the salt king will come among the people, will climb the tower and look around the landscape. He will be curious, whether the wealth of mineral waters from his kingdom may bring health to many people and make good living for the local people. Or perhaps, if someone possesses the healing power of the mineral waters only for himself or herself and denies access to the others. Or whether anyone disposes with valuable gifts or treats in a wasteful way or spoils the water through its activity. After descending from the tower, in the room where the throne from salt crystals stands, will announce the fair trial to the people. It depends only on you, what it will be like. Therefore, let’s look after the wealth of this region, as if the salt king should already come down on the Earth today, though it may be tomorrow, but perhaps only in another long five hundred years …
